Andrew Taylor had a double-double ( 26/ 18) and Chase Sanders added 17 , knocking down five three-pointers to lead Corbin to the easy win in Baxter. The Hounds led by as many as 20 as they coasted to their 20th win of the season. The Black Bears(25-3) saw their eight- game winning streak come to an end. Corbin took control of the game with a 16-2 run midway through the third quarter.

SF, if you had to name two teams that will make it to the championship game of this region who would they be?

Oh my, you would have to ask me that!!! :) So tough to do this year with five almost equally good teams. If you had asked me a week ago , I would have said South Laurel and Knox. With South struggling a bit now and with the injury to Ramey, I'm gonna go with the two teams who I think will be playing at their peak level during the regional : Knox Central and Corbin .

I'm from the 14th region and not as familiar with the 13th as you but from just following the season as it progresses on BGP and the news that would be my picks as well.

Perry Central is a clear choice for one of the championship game spots in my region, with the other spot from Knott Central, Letcher Central, and Cordia, in that order.

I'd love to see a rematch of Corbin-Perry Central with what both teams bring to the table now. I know Perry was without some big contributors when they met earlier in the season.

Yep. The additions of the two 6'8 kids has freed Tobler up to do more things in a different role.

From what I hear Perry will not have the bigs for tourny play. We will know for sure soon.

So the draw will definitely be huge.

Corbin, has a tough district game against Whitley County, to even make to Region tournament. Then there's 5 other teams that has a lot to say about who makes it out of the 13th region! I do think the region champ will come out of 1 of these 3 Corbin, Central and South laurel. Taking nothing away from Clay, Harlan County and North Laurel, they to could win the region.

What's the story on Ramey?

As an outsider, I would have gone with Corbin and South Laurel, but after SL's skid, it seems like it's anybody's opening as the top challenger to Corbin.

Did they flip the coin this morning to break the ties and determine the seedings?

1 seed South Laurel

2 seed Corbin

3 seed Whitley County

4 seed Williamsburg

I believe that Knox Central is the best team in the region this year, followed by South Laurel(must have Ramey healthy though), Corbin, Harlan Co. and then North Laurel.

If South is completely healthy, I agree with you. Knox and South at the top and Corbin very close. But any of these five teams could win three straight and take the region.
