  1. I agree about Knox and South being top teams, but with Taylor and if Sanders, plays at high level he's been playing, Corbin has to be include in the top tier region teams.
  2. Corbin, has a tough district game against Whitley County, to even make to Region tournament. Then there's 5 other teams that has a lot to say about who makes it out of the 13th region! I do think the region champ will come out of 1 of these 3 Corbin, Central and South laurel. Taking nothing away from Clay, Harlan County and North Laurel, they to could win the region.
  3. Blaming refs is the easy way out Paris was over matched #10 had 16 points in the first quarter. Geez he hit 2 3 pointers 27 feet out he set the tempo to Corbin's liking. The Taylor kid had 41 points and 17 rebounds, Refs had nothing to do with this game. Paris didn't play bad Corbin was red hot and beat them in transition on several positions.
  4. Corbin's #10 was a very nice player, the kid can shoot.
  5. Great game!! Corbin and Knox Central, is top teams in the 13th region for sure! Both teams has a really good shot at the regional title this year!!
  6. 5:00 PM Franklin County VS Daniel Clemson, SC and 9:30 PM Knox Central VS Freedom Orlando, FL
  7. Like the ranking, except I'd take Corbin and South 2a and 2b in any order. Corbin knocked off South, at South, game was closer than ending score indicated. South has multiple kids that can score in double digits, seems to have good defense. Corbin, has a very good defensive team, but lack of multiple double digits scoring players which could hurt them at tournament time, I Like both teams. And a solid don't sleep on Knox Central, team to giving Harlan County, a run for 13th Regional Title.
  8. I think their the best team in the 13th region. The Bear's have multiple scorers on their team. Corbin, is a close second behind Harlan Co, they have found ways this year to stay in games while Taylor, has been in foul trouble. Which is a good sign for Corbin, if they can continue to develop other players. Corbin, would have a slight edge over other teams to challenge the Black Bear's for the 13th Region Title.
  9. I don't see why the "Black Bear's" of Harlan County, is not in the Top 20?
  10. This is turning in to a bashing of Corbin, for winning? Corbin had received two very questionable calls in the last two minutes of the game that allowed LC to pull with 1 point. Corbin has two T.O. that allowed LC to get the 3 point lead. Taylor, shoots a shot and misses the shot, LC decided the games over and doesn't block Taylor out. So he(Taylor) slips through and grabs the rebound an one of the players not blocking out, decided to just reach over top of Taylor and grazed the top of Taylors head and received a foul. Both teams in double bonus LC got to bonus before Corbin. Corbin, down 3 with 5.6 seconds ? Hmm it would take a miracle? So LC player cusses ref T number one. Corbin still down 3 but now 3 shots and ball back. OT may be, but here comes the game winner. LC head coach after Taylor ties game comes screaming across the floor at the ref? His assistant coach and players trying to restrain him. ref #gives warring not a technical, ref #2 gives warning to LC coach. He's still screaming and pushing off his coach and players trying to hold him back. Then 1st ref that gave first warning T him up!!!! This game Corbin won had nothing to do with being played at Corbin!! It had to do with a player and LC head coach not controlling themselves!!! LC cost themselves the game after Corbin, gave them the lead at the end with the T.O. and the refs gave them 2 questionable calls which they scored on? LOL it's always the refs!!
  11. D. W. Daniel High School, is in SC. A little history tidbit this is the High School " The Pistol" Pete Maravich played at while his dad was coaching men's basketball at Clemson. Freedom High School is in Woodbridge, VA Their Boys basketball team has won their region the last 3 years.
  12. Game 3 the announcers call it good defense " quote it would be called foul in the regular season but this is the play offs" close .... Cavs won that what was said; by the announcers. Game 4 same announcers refs missing calls and letting fouls go that should be called!! Announcer admit about the calls!! Cavs killed a GS player and it was called a flop !! It was clearly a tackle !! Oh GS it favored GS and won that's why their opinion changed!! NBA refs are a joke to be the best !!! The anti GS and Curry, people are tore up !!! That a small frame 6' 1 3/4 shooting guard can be the league MVP and lead his team to the NBA finals!!
  13. Ron you always do a great job with the State AAU games. You really have a nice handle on the best state girls programs and players! Thanks for the information!!
