I'm just keeping up with how the fans of bc feel and how they see things, I am just trying to see the point he was trying to make with out beating around the bush.

I'll take the "High Road" here: Obviously you subscribe to the belief that 1 singular person affects the outcome of a basketball game or season. That would be incorrect. It takes EVERYONE on the team, Coaches, Players, Administrators, Parents, Fans, etc. to reach the pinnacle of success. I can also tell you since Brent is my son, that he and Coach Hinson have a very clear understanding of the roles each of them played in Augusta's success and also have a clear understanding that it was all due to "A TEAM EFFORT". I know for a fact that all of the kids that play at Augusta have a clear understanding of this fact then and now and are very humble about any accomplishments they've achieved.

 

Well said, and from a fan that watches closely I can unequivocably say that Brent made every teammate on those Augusta teams better. His leadership in the gym for hours before, after and during practice helped those players achieve what they were capable. Routine gym time led by Brent usually started at 6:00 a.m. and often times went well after dark with a 12 month total commitment to excellence. In game Brent was committed to one outcome...Winning and that is the distinguishing factor that made the Panthers (a school of less than 50 boys) a threat to every team they played. If him deferring to only scoring 6 pts that produced a victory, that was perfect. If he needed to score 48 to upset Mason Co., then that is what Hinson ordered and he would deliver. His senior year 1.38 scoring efficiency is proof positive he wasn't about anything but Team results. Hinson did not make Bach, but his role as Coach contributed greatly to molding the Panthers Team into a winning Team. Hinson and Bach were a perfect match as player and coach. Sure hope the Hinson bashing dies with the void of credability it deserves.

You've all must have missed the point.. it's way over your heads it seems like. I'm not questioning Bach's abilities one bit. But no player will win alone. Hence me mentioning the 6 point performance to win a District Championship. Which believe me he didn't contribute. So YES, thank Hinson for getting the surrounding cast there for Brent's success

Snapp would of been there regardless Maddox probably came because of his uncle and Crawford I'm not sure, all these kids came to Augusta as freshmen they had not made a name for their selves as of yet. I don't think Hinson was in the gym at 6am with this group or the late nights. I think the folks from Augusta get that no player can win alone that's part of why they have been so successful.

I'm still waiting for your reasoning of why Hinson has had no success at bracken as of yet ?

Hinson didn't win at Augusta his first year. His second year was when he won District and that option is still open this year. Good night he's only been there for one and a half seasons.

I think Coach Hinson drives that same car to possible quarterfinals appearance at the Sweet 16. Kirk may have even underachieved with that group, in a big region championship game like last year I would have taken Augusta(Hinson) over Mason(Biggs).

There is a good class of 8th and 7th graders right now.

Why would there be pressure now? Its only his second year at the program.

I was talking about if Coach Hinson was coaching that Augusta team last season.

 

But I would not be surprised if this team were to make a magical post season run. They have already proven they can beat the #1 team in the region.

Elite players like Austin are extremely difficult to replace, but I don't feel like there is a ton of pressure.
