Sharia Law

Sure Christians have had there problems as well, but outside of the Trail of Tears the rest of these events were 400 to 600 years ago. Personally I don't really feel this is relevant to the actions of Christians today. I get the fear of Islam considering the acts of terror that are being conducted currently as well as over the recent past.

I used the word historical from the beginning. Fear asked for an expansion of my post.

If you want more current, I would agree things are better.

But remember the US interred Japanese Americans who were citizens and some multi-generational ones. The Church said nothing.

The US government sent a boat with over 900 fleeing Jews away from our shores back to death in Europe during WW II, the Church said nothing.

How many lynchings and killings in our society were committed from the late 1800's to the 1960's and the church in some segments condoned by silence or rationalization the activities?

I'm not hear to bash the Body of Christ. But I am here to point out that it's not an argument about "These guys are worse". The New Covenant Fear mentioned reminds us "All have sinned and Come short of the Glory of God." "There is none righteous, no, not one."

Correct. Not one of us. I would like to think christians have grown past our atrocities while they are still to this day being done in the name of islam. To compare our histories both look bad. To the current day and hour it's not close. I will not apologize or feel guilty for those who have done wrong before me. I cannot change that. I can however see and speak of the wrongs of today. Christians are not killing people in the name of JESUS.

All I know is if I had to live under Sharia Law, I'd definitely be dead by now.

I don't recall asking you to apologize or feel guilty.

You don't know what all Christians in this world are or are/not doing or believing.

And if we want to go really Jesus in the argument; we might want to observe Matthew 5:21. "You have heard that it was said of the men of old, 'You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment.' But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; . . ."

Kind of makes us all examine our speech, even in pointing out the wrongs.

And a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

This is 2017 Hatz not the Crusades. You already know this. Christians are not doing any of these things and you also know that and they never did. I can call myself anything I want, but that does not make it so. And you also know that. Some of the others here, I give a pass, but not you.

But it was for millions of other women. Like Madonna and Ashley Judd.

So you think they knew the background of their organizer.

Whom is for Sharia Law and that woman is the actual nasty woman for supporting what is by far mistreatment of women.

Just a thumbnail of historical incidents when the Christian church (or variant thereof) conducted war and atrocities on people of different beliefs or ethnicity. I included Trail of Tears because the "Christian Nation" of America stood by and allowed the government to remove an entire peaceful people from their homes, lands, and country and "take the land surrendered."

Big difference here. Those acts of violence contradicts the New Testament. Similar acts of violence are commanded in The Quran.

If it makes you feel better about it, go ahead.

I never knew that righteousness was based on contrast/comparison.

And I never mentioned the Crusades. :thumb:

You don't know what other self-professing Christians are or are not doing. It is rather convenient however to state: They really aren't/weren't real Christians; and then not give the same benefit to say Muslims who do things horrible in the name of their religion.

As to the assertion that you can call yourself anything you want, you are right. All I have done is present history and Scripture. Take up any issue you have with those things.

As for your not giving me a pass; Jesse, I really am not looking for a pass, stroke, applause or condemnation from you. Sorry. :thumb:

You answer to the same God I do Hatz. Rules are the same for both of us. Just a FYI. :thumb:

I agree. and quite frankly I humbly submit to him alone. :thumb:
