Corbin is 1-4 and should be 4-1, I fill we have a problem with getting our players ready for average and below average teams. It amazes me how we can play with Bell Co. and Rockcastle Co. and have a chance to beat both and lose to Oldham Co. and South Laurel. Back to the game, great job by Madon offensively and defensively.

Corbin can regroup and use these losses as motivation in the playoffs. A 17-14 loss with a last second field goal beating you has to hurt , but you have to shake it off and just get after it harder. What matters is what happens at the seasons end, as long as you get into the play-offs.

I really felt like Bell missed a lot of great opportunities in this one. The pick inside the 10 yard line was costly. Then Bell fumbled inside the 2, which really hurt. Another big play was in the 3rd quarter when Corbin jumped offsides, but did get back in time and Bell hiked the football and ended up losing 8 yards.

Bell WR's made to of the best highschool catches Ive seen. Fist Zachery took the interception from a Corbin DB for an amazing catch! And then Chase Ely #87 caught a slant pass that was way behind him with his left hand. THose catches were amazing!

The Corbin DB had him on his back and went up for the INT, then Zachary came up from the gound with the ball in his hands, but I did not see how it happened. That was a great catch along with Ely's, which I believe was deflected by the Corbin LB. Bell has some very good receivers, but they have a lot of work to do to be an effective passing team though.

Zachery just made an amazing play. I couldnt explain it. Bell needs to be more efficent with their passing game. If Bell can complete 10 passes a game and only have to throw say 15 then we will be in good shape. I dont know how long we will run all the wing t stuff. I think Bell will go to more I-formation running then what theyve been doing.

Congrats to both teams on a well played hard hitting game. It did both programs proud.

nolan must to have had 12 to 15 tacklles

 

Corbin's defensive line controlled the line of scrimmage and Bell could not block Nolan at all. The defensive line has played well all year and appear to be very well coached.

The D-line played extremely well as a whole. Jarrod Martin gets better and better each week. Nolan is a tree stump inside. We have a very good D-line just have to get it all out of them

Sorry about not having the stats up guys, I forgot to come on here Friday night. As for the comments Dudley made on the radio show - I'm one of the guys on the show - Dudley didn't rip Corbin, but I sensed maybe he thought the two teams should still be playing. It was an interesting show though.

Anyway, Corbin manned up this game and impressed me by not giving up.

It wasn't a win, but Corbin fans should be proud of their boys' efforts. I know I was.

The only stat I saw listed in the paper had Cashen 11-13 for 152 yards in the second half. First downs were probably pretty even and overall yardage was probably slightly in Bell's favor if I was guessing.

While Corbin's performance was better, particularly in the second half, let's not get all warm and fuzzy about home field losses.We shouldn't feel good about losses here in Corbin. A return to the elite status that we all grew accustomed to in the '70's and '80's will see the Hounds regularly stomp a mudhole in teams like Bell and M'Boro.
