Mason scores the first six of the fourth QTR and were down six and Dunaway on the line for a one plus. He missed it and Pendleton scored the next ten and then blew us out. In the first QTR, Pendleton shot 17-21 and 6-7 on three. They shot either a layup or a three. Allen 11 and Walsh 15 in the first. Fox had a career high 21 points and eight rebounds.

If you honestly prefer a 50-45 game over this, you're insane

No, but I think there is a happy medium somewhere in there.

This score is ridiculous. Both coaches should be embarrassed. No way two high school teams should score that many points.

Please learn how to play DEFENSE!!!!

I like grinder games. Makes it a helluvalot easier to identify what was the key turning point in the game.

Surely someone is going to tell us this was a 2OT battle.

WORD!!!!

I'm finding out that if/when a team scores over 60 then it's bad news bears and nobody played defense. Maybe the 2 teams were hot that night and hit everything. Sometimes you gotta have these types of games to break up the boring, low scoring, 50-45 games and get some excitement back. That's just me though

Defense may not have been great but both teams shot 52% from the field and Pendleton shot 13/26 from three. That is getting it done.

Leevi Dunaway also had a great career night on 15/25 shooting and 12/14 from the line. Leevi became only the third player in Royal history to score 40 points. The other two were Ronnie Lyons and Chris Lofton.

Do you have individual stats for both teams?

Anxious to know FGA for various players on both teams

3 point stats for Pendleton

Thanks

I just posted Mason's on KHSAA website.

202 total points still falls short of the 206 I saw scored when Bryan Station beat Dicky Beal led Holmes squad 104-102 in 1980. Keep working boys, you'll get there.

And those are exciting game and defense obviously couldn't make difference. I hate when people say play defense. They shot over 50%, you can't help that when shots are falling
