Maybe you don't understand the way he does it. If a particular starting unit is not performing up to expectations, he may leave them in, yet replace other units with reserves. I saw that in the Manual game, where Petrino remained in the game, while other players in other positions were replaced.

T can name the score. This is not a time to be embarassing other programs though.

I agree, I hope we don't see anymore 58-13 drubbings this week.

So yeah Trinity will win this one, but my question is this:

This parent of a former player was quite satisfied. The one time he doesn't substitute is when Trinity is behind. He continues to coach as if they are going to pull it out, regardless of the score. Fortunately, that isn't an issue very often. Regardless, expect to see a running clock early in the second half and a clear bench at tonights game.

My reference to the 77 points is not that the starters will be in for longer than they should, I think that the 2nd and third strings will get some good PT and will show what they have been learning..... Its ment as a complement to the program....

While I admit I have jacked plenty of threads in my days here at BGP...I am not doing it now.

I'll leave the endless chatter to the others here on BGP.

You may be accurate with this specific analysis. I specifically had in mind three games that Trinity lost: 2001 Male v. Trinity(45-19) and X v. Trinity in '06 and '05 (48-16 and 36-18). The substitution statement was the only area I took issue with you. Of course, as noted, Trinity is not behind often, in part because Trinity has a very good coach.
