Gulf Shores will be like NYC compared to Peridido Key. Sleepy little fishing town. Not a lot going on. Just great beaches and a low key atmosphere.

Situated well. Can easily get to Orange Beach, AL or Pensacola.

Thats my first retirement choice. Love love love

Are there places to eat there or do you have to drive a ways?

Just spent most of the day in the Everglades. Started in Homestead area and went all the way to the Gulf side. Snakes, Gators, birds and bugs lol alot of fun though. We was hoping to see a crocodile.

There are a few places right there in Perdido Key. Several more within a 20 min drive. You'll be fine I promise. Even Fat Jason could survive there.
