74 year old Lee Roy Reams and Covington, Ky native, Holmes High School graduate, and University of Cincinnati CCM grad might not exactly be a household name, but on Broadway in New York and throughout the whole musical theatre world he has been hugely famous for decades.

I saw Kansas recently. They played for 2 and a half hours. They ended the concert playing the entire album "Leftoverture" in cut order from the album. Drummer Phil Ehart is 65 and absolutely remarkable.

No. Steve did retire a couple of years ago. His voice was done. Ronnie Platt replaced him at lead vocals. Platt sounds identical to the Steve Walsh of the 70's.

 

Phil Ehart and Richard Williams are the only 2 original members. Bassist Billy Greer (64) has been with Kansas since 1985. David Ragsdale replaced Robbie Steinhardt on violin twice, from 91-97 and from 2006 to the present. Steinhardt lives in Sarasota and usually comes to the concerts when they appear in the Bay area. Last year, he actually got up on stage with the band for several songs, including the encore.

Seen them twice, the last time was in 1989......they were in between shows traveling in support of their latest release "In The Spirit of Things", and did a free show at Coyotes (at the Drawbridge Inn) in Fort Mitchell.
