December 18, 20169 yr This was an 8-2 Eastern Washington team that according to most rankings sites was about equal to NKU. So impressive win for the Norse. Eastern Washington will take on Xavier on Tuesday.
December 18, 20169 yr Hope EW enjoys their day off in the tri-state, guessing Tuesday evening won't be a lot of fun. Impressive margin of victory for The Norse.
December 18, 20169 yr NKU played very well. Nice to see the easy win with McDonald struggling offensively.
December 19, 20169 yr NKU played very well. Nice to see the easy win with McDonald struggling offensively. Very good point. Teams are going to double down on McDonald whenever he gets the ball so when he kicks it out they have to pay. Everyone plays so well off of him that it comes down to a "Pick your Poison" situation. Good thing about this team is that no one seems to care who scores as long as they win.

Just checked the box score and they had 22 assists on 26 made baskets. It doesn't get much better than that.

December 19, 20169 yr Took my Dad to this one. He was impressed with the Norse. Much better than he anticipated.
December 19, 20169 yr Came away from my first NKU game in a long time pretty impressed. Very solid defensive effort from the Norse. EWU made a few runs, but for the most part, Northern imposed their will. Mason Faulkner hit a few huge 3s late to put the game away.
December 19, 20169 yr How was the crowd? Probably 1,500 or so...Not sure why people are fixated on the attendance numbers. :idunno:
December 19, 20169 yr Author Probably 1,500 or so...Not sure why people are fixated on the attendance numbers. :idunno: Attendance matters. Programs need to make money for the non-rev programs. It also gives an indication of how the program is regarded by the locals. Seems pretty straightforward and uncomplicated.
December 19, 20169 yr Attendance matters. Programs need to make money for the non-rev programs. It also gives an indication of how the program is regarded by the locals. Seems pretty straightforward and uncomplicated. I've honestly believed for years NKU does a terrible job marketing the program , even more so to alumni.

Seems pretty straightforward and uncomplicated. Right, and as was shown in the last thread (because it gets brought up by people who don't attend the games in almost every thread), they are outdrawing or on par with most programs of their stature and in their conference.
