I appreciate Jimmie Reed putting this together for the kids and coaches in Ky. One of my former players, Jordan Johnson, is the HC @ Waggener and was a coach for the Louisville team today. I had 4 former players on the field today (Jordan, Titans D Smith & Tyus Short , Royal Cameron O'Hearn.) I was proud of all 4 and thankful they had the opportunity. Thank you to St. X for hosting the game.

The biggest difference in this game was the QB play. The Louisville QB had the ability to escape under pressure and make plays with his legs. The KY QBs seemed to be locked in on 1 receiver and failed to move to secondary receivers that were wide open and could not escape pressure. The game was close the entire way and metro team took the lead in the 4th qtr that was set up off of a long punt return and the last score did not occur until 1:30 to go when the Louisville team scored late. Not sure what game another poster was watching but stating that the score could have been 35-7 is more than far-fetched as both the teams were pretty much even with the score being 7-7 in the 4th.

 

The biggest thing is no one was seriously injured I believe but one player did have to be helped off with an apparent leg injury and I hope he was ok. Congrats to all that participated and best of luck to all of them in future endeavors.

Louisville QB was quick and escaped easily. #44 for Louisville was a beast on D. Don't agree with the QB comment on KY side. In 2nd half, KY marched down field several times via the passing game but after penalties would be pushed back to 3rd and forever. They got away from the 5-15 yard passes, went under center to run the ball which surprisingly wasn't there all day. Great Defense to Louisville.

Great opportunity for all kids to play one more week. Thanks to Jimmy Reid for putting game on and St X for hosting. Congrats to Louisville team.

DB was Kenneth Majors from Christian County.. Going to WKY.. Great kid does play with chip but most good ones do. Keyron Catlett had a good showing also for County.

 

Keyron Catlett received the Offensive award for the State team as well. (Also going to WKU) Christian County was definitely represented well.

I think he was referring to the 2 turn-overs the Louisville team had inside the red zone, 1 an INT in the endzone.

I kind of think the Metro team pretty much dominated the game. The state team made a couple of nice completions to Catlett on their TD drive but after that there wasn't much offense. The surprising part of the game was the Metro team controling the line of scrimmage. I expected the state team to have an advantage on the LOS.
