Now, the General did make a mistake and paid for it. Has Hillary? He served his country all his life on military pay. Hillary used politics to enrich herself. One had to resign or was fired, the other ran for POTUS. So many differences that they can't all be named. If we are judging on actions or character he wins hands down. If his security clearance has been revoked then he should not be given additional sensative information. Unlike Hillary who even had her maid printing secret documents for her.... Really.....Anything to be against the impending change... It's already a done deal.

Actually, in Obama's case, I believe it was more a case of not wanting to do what I would consider a good job, rather than being incapable of doing a good job. As for political correctness, I don't see anything politically incorrect about stating the obvious. Obama has politicized agencies that have historically been relatively free of partisan politics and generally made a mess of our foreign policy.

I've already explained how whether Trump does good or bad it affects my life in a minuscule manner. I hope he does horrible so like Dino Nova I can say I was right. I LOVE Obama but these past 8 years haven't affected me at all. Just like the previous 8 years didn't affect me at all. Just like the 8 years before Bush with Clinton didn't affect me at all. I love talking politics but I'll never overestimate the effect the POTUS has on my individual life. I'm way more worried about Matt Bevin than I'll ever be of Donald Trump. If he does good I'll admit I was wrong but at the end of the day there isn't much he can do that I will consider something good. His cabinet tells me that I won't agree with anything they do so tell me, how will I think he is doing anything good for our country when everything he is preparing to do is pretty much everything I am against?

 

The day he comes out and apologizes for the campaign he ran and how he ran it will be the first day I think he has done anything good. Sadly he is such a pathological liar who says what he thinks people want to hear at that particular moment that I wouldn't even believe him if he said it. In my mind he is a con artist. We'll see who is right in time.

 

America is still a young country. Unless Trump guides us into WWIII we'll be fine and bounce back the same way America always has. I ain't worried about a Trump presidency anymore.

I find it sad that we have citizens of this country hope a president does horribly. I disagree as I know for a fact how a sitting president can directly impact you. I own my own business and have always provided healthcare for my employees. We had stellar rates. Once obama came into effect, our premiums increased so much over the next few years we all most had to drop the coverage because we could no longer afford it. We shopped in the open markets and realized if the employees paid for some of the costs increases then we could continue to help. There were no other viable options. In 30 years we never have had an issue until obama care. That is a direct example of how a president can effect you.

Failing is subjective. I don't think Obama failed. You think he did. If Trump does what you want him to do then you'll think he did good. I'll think he failed.

How is the country not standing strong and proud now? People say this all of the time but nothing proves we aren't strong. We argue amongst each other about our ideologies but when our backs are against the wall and we truly need to come together then we do. See: 9/11.

 

I lived through 8 years of bitterness over Obama. I don't own a business. I'm a former local union president and currently in that same union. I'll be involved in our next contract negotiations. Debating on if I'll run for president or Vice President in our next election. I'm the guy with the American job in danger of being shipped to another country that everyone hates because my union works hard to protect my job. Funny how that works. I don't worry about Trump anymore. I worry about Bevin. In a country where state's rights are just as or more important than federal rights...yeah, Bevin scares me as an individual way more than Trump.

 

At this point Trump is a sideshow more concerned about filming the Celebrity Apprentice than truly running the country. That is what his cabinet is for. They'll do the heavy lifting while he plays on twitter.
