If you notice, most if not all these female teachers who are doing this are young. I have a step daughter the same age as this teacher and another one 2 years younger, both I helped raise from about the ages of 11 and 9, so I went through their teenage years and met many of their friends, so I am very familiar with this age group. I also coach high school boys and know a lot of boys in that age group as well, and see many of the girls the boys hang with, date etc. in that group. Here is the phenomena going on right now that maybe some are aware of, maybe some aren't...many girls/young women today are every bit as sexually aggressive as many boys young men have historically been labeled. Girls/young women act/do things today that would have absolutely shocked us old timers 30-40 years ago had the girls then acted in that manner. Oh sure there have always been examples of sexually "aggressive" girls/women throughout the ages, but it's more the norm rather than the exception today. I know there are some teachers on this board...tell me what I'm saying isn't what you see on a daily basis.

 

So, you have these young female teachers (many of them not unattractive to even downright cute) who may very well be as sexually aggressive as any teenage boy they have in the class, combined with teenaged boys pumping full of testosterone who much more likely than not are going to say yes to a tryst with a young cute teacher when given the opportunity, and you end up getting this very scenario.

 

Someone has to be the adult in this situation...and it has to be the adult.

This is really all you have to say. For every female teacher out there seducing a teenage boy, there is a male teacher doing the same to a teenage girl.

Historically it was ALWAYS the male teacher. That's the point, it's not always that any more, and actually it seems to be the majority is these events now are female teachers/male students.

I also wanted to point out what the "sexualization" of our society I believe has gotten us to. I think a lot of people who are older and aren't around the youth of today very much would be more than shocked at what's going on today with young girls. Now, is it every girl? Of course not. But it's more than a few.

I don't believe that there is a sudden surge of over sexual girls being raised today. We are just seeing these stories more and more with the 24/7 news world we live in today. It's sensational news stories that are thrown in our face because that's what sells (or gets more clicks) in today's world.

I guess that's where we differ, cause I definitely see it without question. And I'm not saying it all happened overnight, like all was fine in 2015 and in 2016 it became an issue. It's been building for years and we find ourselves where we are right now.

I've been a teacher for 21 years. You are correct.

 

Also, I disagree with BigVMan. It has not always been historically male teachers. I know of two situations that pre-date my teaching years and one since that the teacher was a female.
