Bardstown hung around for a while, but too many weapons as Trinity pulled away down the stretch. Tigers were without one of their top outside shooters, but I don't know that he could have closed the gap that much. Shamrocks were active in the passing lanes with their hands and feet, picking up a number of steals.

Good crowd there tonight — a lot of folks made their way down from L'ville, including one Coach Denny Crum there to watch his former player.

Some bright spots for Bardstown, this game was Trinity up by 8 at halftime and Trinity up by just 3 with about 8:00 to go in 3rd, and then the bottom fell out. What you always have to remember about the Tigers is that they are almost entirely composed of football players so really have only been practicing together for 3 weeks, and it showed. Didn't handle the press real well, shooting was cold, too many turnovers. It will get better, and I expect them to contend if not be the favorite in the 5th.

 

Trinity very nice ball movements and passing lanes, they were red hot shooting. Plenty to take away from this game for both teams.

Trinity is still without Jacob King, whom many consider to be Trinity's best player.

Check out the schedule. The tournament games are usually the best to attend. Hopefully I can find the Tennessee tournament online.

Bardstown coach Boo Brewer played for Coach Cram at UofL also; that's what I was referring to. Wasn't aware of the Burkman-Trinity connection.

Gotcha. I had forgotten about Boo. I guess Denny was able to kill two (former) "birds" with one stone.
