Buses with police escort Saturday afternoon?

Featured Replies

Got stopped on 275 while 3 or more buses with a dozen police escorts(SUV's, motorcycles) was allowed on by themselves, keeping traffic behind Saturday afternoon around 4, any idea what this was or was about? Never seen anything like it, Trump-esque.

Has been going on forever. The players, team get on and off at the tarmac. They never go through security. In every city.

Never, ever knew that. It was shockingly a big deal at the time when everyone is directed to stop and get out of the way. They had all lanes to themselves. Oh well.

We were coming off an exit and here was a police officer on motorcycle driving down an empty interstate motioning for everyone basically to stop and pull to the side while a convoy of police and buses had the interstate to themselves while traffic stayed a good distance behind. You would have a won huge amount of money if we had made a bet, because the Philadelphia Eagles as being the cause would have been nowhere on my list

About an hour after every Bengal home game you will see the busses going 75 South.

Most people have no clue and why would you think they'd do this? I had no idea until I started following the Bengals in 1980 and went to away games and saw how they were escorted. I am not sure if other sports do this, but I don't think they do.

I would guess there had been problems in the past with teams being harassed and busses being damaged that caused this. Some NFL fans are are TOO passionate and stupid.

Yup, was out on the expressway one evening when they came through at about 7-8 pm on a Sunday heading towards the airport. My buddy asked me what the hell that was, without hesitation I told him "Dahhhhh Bears".

I know the when the Bengals travel to Indy they don't use any escorts Inhave passed them a few times on 74.

Who pays for these police-escorted motorcades?

Seems unnecessary.
