MSU hung on for dear life.

With 1.6 seconds left and FGSU inbounding under MSU's basket, the play clock started when the ball left the hand of the player throwing in the ball. There was no time left when the FGSU player caught the ball. He shot and missed, but there was zero time left on the clock. The refs let it go.

They had to cheat to win. Tough times in East Lansing right now.

Yea it reminded me of the 1972 USA and Russia game except Florida Gulf Coast didn't get a 2nd or 3rd chance.

On halftime of the U.K. a game, they said the refs timed the play with a stop watch and if the shot would have went in, it would have counted. Of course, when the player heard the horn, I am sure he just fling it up there.

I heard that and thought the same thing the horn went off before he ever shot it.

Neither the official nor timekeeper are taking credit for starting the clock.

Not sure why they couldn't replay it.

I'm sure they could. But I'll give you three guesses as to why they didn't.
