I heard today that Head Coach Mark Clinkenbeard, will not be coaching this season because of an illness of some sort. Anyone care to confirm or deny?

Yes, Mark has had to step down due to a very serious medical condition. I apologize, but I don't feel free to give even little details that I know. I will only say that he is doing better, and should be fine, but not fine enough to continue coaching at this point.

 

I will add that, Mark and his family are very loved...they are tremendous people. I cannot express how thankful I am for what they do in the community and what Mark has been to the players and parents at Walton. He was a very big part of a tremendous high school experience for my oldest daughter. He is a great coach and an even better person that is passionate about the game, but more passionate about his players. My wife and I will always be grateful for Mark, his wife and his family!

 

Any prayers that could be given for them and for Mark would be highly appreciated! He certainly has got some healing and recovery to be done still and a transition to get through.

This is horrible! I hadn't heard anything! One of the great guys in coaching. Here's wishing for a full and speedy recovery. Nothing more important than your health. This other stuff can wait! Looking forward to seeing him at a court soon.

So sorry to hear this. He is a good guy. Does this mean Coach Trame is coaching this year?
