America Now, Past and Going Forward

First, the rules of this thread. No personal attacks, there's no need to one up one another. No attacking the party that's different from yours. No attacking the President Elect, the current President or any past Presidents or any Democrat, Republican, Independent or other Party in office. Just looking for good debate, honest opinions and respectful posts.

What do you hope to see out of the new administration?

Thanks.

I'd like to see reform on Welfare/food stamps/unemployment. I feel these things were brought about to be temporary relief, not a way of life. If you're able bodied, you should earn a living. No reason I should be working as hard as I am, just so you can take 40% of my check and give it to able bodied folks that are working the system so they don't have to work.

I want to see industrial and assembly jobs brought back to America. NAFTA needs to be redone.

Strengthen the military but improve foreign relations.

Scrap Obamacare and get the pharmaceutical companies out of politics. There has to be a way to make healthcare more affordable.

I'd like to see the illegals sent back and a way for them to become legal.

A change in welfare system.

IRS over hauled.

All out war on gangs.

I would like to see Obamacare fixed.

I would like to see NAFTA scrapped. Total redo.

All regulations that kill jobs gone.

Rework the tax code.

Welfare reform.

Cut the crime rate in cities such as Chicago where the murder rate is high. Thats means a clean up of the criminals doing it. Give police the green light to take care of business. When you cut the drugs etc out of these cities only then are you going to be able to help the inner cities. Make this a priority.

Build the wall. :)

Professionalism and competency.

What do you think needs to be changed to make things better for all Americans?
Every regulation adopted and every executive action signed by the Obama administration needs to be reviewed ASAP and all of them that have cost Americans their jobs must be rescinded. Tort reform should be a very high priority because lawyers are choking the life out of our economy.

What do you feel we need to keep that has been passed over the last 7+ years?
Nothing comes to mind.

Get a job, any job as they become available. Too many people have left the workforce who should be working and, if possible, sharing the burden of federal and state taxes. It is time to get off the wagon and help pull it.

What advice would you give to President Elect Trump?
Settle as many lawsuits against the Trump companies as quickly as possible. Trials would be a serious distraction from your agenda, even if you do not have to testify in person. Do not make derailing your agenda easy for the left wing media.

Fire every Obama political appointee that can be legally terminated on your first day in office. You will regret allowing them to hang around if you don't. Let them submit resumes and interview for their old jobs if they are qualified and can demonstrate that they have not been political hacks in the current administration.

Before you take the oath, call on Obama to bring the Clinton gang to justice so that you do not have to deal with the mess. Announce that if Obama does not close the books on the Clinton investigations before you take office, then you will appoint an Independent Prosecutor and provide him or her with all of the resources needed to see that justice is done.

What is the biggest thing you would like to thank President Obama for?
Leaving office. Also, the improvements of the golf courses at Fort Belvoir and Andrews AFB. I enjoy driving through one of the courses on my daily commute. I would also like to thank him for not golfing during my weekday commutes and snarling traffic.

What is the number one issue you feel needs to be addressed?
The economy. High tax rates and regulatory burdens are driving American jobs overseas at an alarming rate. The H1B visa program also needs to be scaled back because it is costing too many American citizens their jobs.

Do you believe both sides of the aisle can work together and what advice would you give to achieve that goal?
I do not want both sides of the aisle working together if it means advancing the liberal agenda one inch. Stand your ground and encourage moderate Democrats like Joe Manchin to defect to the Republican Party. Consider offering him a position in your administration. Secretary of Energy might be a good fit for him, even if he is not quite ready to change his party affiliation.

Would love to hear from everyone on these questions. Again, please be respectful and stick to the subject matter.

Thanks.

You would be surprised how many of these things a liberal agrees with.

Would like to see the Muslim Brotherhood declared a terrorist organization and CAIR investigated for supporting terrorism.

I think we just experienced the second revolution.
