I'm hoping for a close battle, But NCC Defense will probably once again shut down the HC Run game and win by a comfortable margin. But I would like to see a close one and if HC could pull off the win after getting beat 21-0 the last time they met that would be huge, But NCC's D could very well shut this one down again.

Kickoff is 7pm and HC plays better D according to KHSAA...

 

KHSAA has full game stats. Take #s from common opponent where NewCath starters only played a half.

This game is a toss up IMO. The team that stops the run, wins. If HC can't get the running game going early, NCC wins. If NCC can't get the run going, HC wins. NCC can't throw the ball and HC hasn't shown much of a passing game all year. It should be a good one. Both teams have questionable play calling at best.

NCC has good size including some big linebackers. I have not seen film but my guess is that is what caused Holy Cross problems the first time these two met. It is not a good matchup for Holy Cross.

 

Holy Cross needs to find a way to get their speed guys the ball in space. If they can do that and get some big plays then they have a chance.

I'm referring to you always talking about the 2 RBs, like they're the only kids on that team. Give all the kids HC credit.

HC has no passing game so NCC will not honor it and load the box. If HC had some type of passing game then I would say they have a chance, I don't care how good of a running game you have if you are one dimensional against a good team you are in trouble.

I agree 100%. NCC will load the box until HC throws them out of it. On the other side of the ball, NCC does throw the ball very well either. The have the QB and receivers to throw the ball but the passing plays they run are poorly designed or not well executed. The slot receiver is open every time and he never gets the ball. They never run motion or move their playmakers around the formations. Two very poor passing teams that rely on the run, makes for an interesting Friday night in Newport
