November 10, 20169 yr At Tun Tavern, on November 10, 1775 a group I love with all my heart was born. The United States Marine Corps. Happy 241st Birthday Semper Fidelis!! Ever since I was a little boy I always tear up when I hear the Marine Corps Hymn.

November 12, 20169 yr I have three former students who are currently serving as Marines. I pray for them often. One of them made my school year this year by stopping by my classroom to visit when he was in on leave. I now have his photo beside my father's Army photo and my uncle's Navy photo in my classroom. Students often spend time looking at those photos and asking questions. I hope that they can see the pride and respect in my eyes when I talk about the men in those photos. @nWo, I thought of you on that day. I love to see how much being a Marine is part of you.

Thank you very much. In a round about way it was because of the Marines that I have the family I have. I probably would have never come to Richmond if I hadn't met a guy in boot camp from Richmond.
