November 1, 20169 yr What sites does everyone use to help with the DFS? It's really becoming a numbers thing and a lot less about the individual players. I know there are sites out there charging a pretty high price and I don't want to waste my money on something that isn't very good. I am just curious which sites people are using and liking. Seeking a recommendation.
November 1, 20169 yr I think the cheapest option is a Sirius XM subscription. I can't give up my source but would gladly do so if you want to share some of the costs.:lol2:
November 1, 20169 yr Author I use footballguys.com. It's all football and it covers my DFS and regular league needs. I recommend it. It's about $40 a year, which includes a few upgraded apps. I like the site, but it isn't perfect and it is changing formats next year. I am looking for something more DFS focused, but I am not willing to pay $100 a month.
November 2, 20169 yr I listen to SiriusXM but I don't pay anything above my subscription cost. What kinds of information to these pay sites provide? I mainly enter 50/50's and have done pretty well the past few years so I'm not sure I'd benefit
November 2, 20169 yr I listen to the Fantasy Channel on Sirius/XM as well (channel 87 if you have an XM radio). In addition there are several apps out there that are subscription based and a few lineup optimizers online that can help. I don't know that any are better than the other. I pretty much use them as a starting point and go from there. For the most part, my lineups end up being mostly of my own creation.
November 3, 20169 yr I listen to podcasts more than anything else. I listen to these four podcasts weekly: Fantasy Forecast The Daily Fantasy Football Edge Daily Fantasy Fantasy Focus Football The Daily Fantasy Football Edge is my favorite. It is about an hour or so and they cover every single game in depth. Information overload. All of them can be found on iTunes. I also use the website Fantasy Team Advice. I am one of their original members and was grandfathered in at 15 bucks a month. It costs 30 bucks a month now. They have articles out daily for all daily fantasy sports but their focus is Football, Basketball and Baseball in that order. They also do some Hockey articles but it isn't nearly as comprehensive as the Big Three Sports. They have spreadsheets, optimal lineups but IMO their best feature is their chat room. I tend to do much better when I go to their chat room. They usually get started about an hour before tip off/kick off and they answer questions, offer up advice and suggestions, give last minute injury notes/late scratches and good conversation on who to take and why. Their optimal lineups are heavily slanted towards Cash Games and I play GPPs pretty exclusively these days after last year's ridiculous Cash Game scoring lines so their optimal lineups don't do much for me other than letting me know if I am going in the right direction with a few of my choices. I like their articles and spreadsheets more than most stuff on there but the Chat Room is my favorite when I have time to go in there.
November 3, 20169 yr I am leaning towards this site. There is a decent amount of info you can get for free.
November 4, 20169 yr Honestly, if any of you want to fund me via Paypal I will hook us up with the best in the business. Just let me know, I have another investor who I'd know would be willing to split the cost.
