Bath has a LARGE number of freshmen and sophomore that start and play both ways for the wildcats. Last year when Belfry/Bath played Bath started 5 freshmen. Maybe in a couple of years Bath will not be "wasting their gas money" as someone put on another Internet site.

I like where Bath is going. Poynter does a very good job. They are a bit hamstrung by playing up to 3A (geographically, I get it) but they are starting to become annually competitive.

Poynter has moved around a lot but he has been solid in every stop. His teams play hard and are fundamentally sound.

The 2 groups are coming together as well. They have all grown up and played together in every sport. Both classes have pieces to the puzzle that when combined make a solid team on both sides of the ball. I can tell you they are very excited about the opportunity they have over the next 2-3 seasons. They are going to be pretty good in baseball also but that's for another thread.

The past 2 seasons he had the Upperclassmen really buy in, play hard, and lead.....but he has had his eye on the next 2-3 seasons (and beyond) since he arrived and saw what he had coming. He is as excited as the players are. Good chance he stays put for a long while because he thinks they have a chance to make some noise.
