Was a nice adjustment playing Dunn both ways. He did pretty good

Understatement of the year for a lackluster Highlands D. Dunn was outstanding and not only looked the part on Defense but certainly played the part. One wonders had some adjustments been made earlier in the season where would Highlands be right now...

Does HHS typically bring a banner to run through at away games? I have no clue how common it is for teams to do that for away games. It was interesting all the different reactions people had over the "99 Problems" banner.

Help me out here pls...I dont follow sorry, I am very slow at times:thumb:

Folks were still celebrating ?

If I am reading Q right, I am thinking he was referring to "where are all the haters at now" when Highlands wins...they seem to only jump on board and swarm when the Birds take a beaten:thumb:

I have been a detail watcher and observer of the little things during the rough year and I noticed something right away on Defense Friday night and it wasn't the new personnel but something much bigger...

But because I was taught long ago on this site to not discuss or expose things that gives our team an advantage or disadvantage it would not be fair to my Highlands program to discuss it so I will watch again this Friday and confirm what I think I know. This just could be the missing link to allow the Birds to make a nice run in the postseason:thumb:

I guess I am to assume you are not familiar with the Jay Z song 99 Problems (the lyric I believe originally came from an Ice T song). The chorus is "I've got 99 problems but a (blank) ain't one" If you are not familiar with song a quick google will answer it.

On a different note HHS looked like they spent a good deal of time in a 40 single high instead of their previous 30/50 front two high look.

Won't get no argument from me. I thought he did a great job. Now if it will only continue.

HHS Cheer makes one for EVERY game. Not sure how long that has been a thing, but at least the last 4-5 years while my oldest was on cheer.

I BELIEVE there have been teams coming to Highlands with one. Probably the minority of them. I typically don't take pictures of the other teams gauntlet.

Can't say I've ever seen a CovCath banner. I don't recall it AT CovCath either, but could be wrong.

So a few adjustments on HHS D will make the difference, they are giving up a lot of points don't think that's going to matter, although it may be a little improvement it won't solve the problem as a whole. IMO

The two DTs in 1s (and they appear to be pretty decent) causes some issues. It looks as if they are trying to use 2 to take 3 on offense. Then the LBs have B gap with the DEs having C. If there is a TE the DE slides to a 7 instead of a 5. That allows their OLB to play D gap. It looked like there were a few other changes personnel wise. I didn't see any gold cleats either. If this is really a new alignment (I haven't seen it on film) then I can understand the changes. I don't think it completely solves their problems but it helps.

They only did it once in the first quarter. I believe about their 3rd defensive snap they went back to one of their original alignments. It might of been a mistake but I'm pretty sure they've shown it on tape. The overloaded the front to the field. It left them in a bad spot into the boundary.

No one ever sees the Gold Cleats when they win...but yes they were there Friday night...still some work to be done in that category imo

Maybe not, but at least they're finally trying something new. If they made just a couple defensive stops this year there was potential to change some outcomes.

This is comical...even when Highlands WAS good, they were average to just plain bad on Defense.

Now they're just bad on offense too.

I don't see how an average to bad team hold Cincy St. X to what two scores? They might not of been lights out but I would't call them bad.
