PepRock01 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Well done Panthers! This is going to be interesting to see how they fare in district play.
Son of Bear Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Did the Dunbar offense look any better tonight? Did Jarrell Greene get any carries?
SLINK Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Jerrell Greene played sparingly. Caught two passes. Played about 6 plays on D. Dunbar committed 5 turnovers and had a punt blocked. All TO's led to Panther scores, except one. Dunbar pretty much gave this one away. When and if they ever quit turning the ball over , they will be pretty good. 3 of PRP's drives started inside the Dunbar 30. Dunbar just has to quit turning the ball over. They are -8 in the turnover department this year. Dunbar's D only gave up 167 yds. to the explosive PRP offense. The D played very well. The blocked punt was returned for a TD.
RockPride Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Big win PRP...way to keep up Louisville's domination over Lexington...PRP is the real deal
The Golfer Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Big win PRP...way to keep up Louisville's domination over Lexington...PRP is the real deal PRP is a good team but after watching them last night Madison Central is better than them. Dunbar gift wrapped last night with crazy turnovers. With as much speed as they have and could only manage 160+ yards offense was not a good sign for them. If PRP is as good as Male and St. X then Louisville is way down.

thepeopleschamp Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Big win PRP...way to keep up Louisville's domination over Lexington...PRP is the real deal I din't see anyone saying that last week when TC beat Ballard. Or when Lex. Christian has beaten DeSales, and Christian Acad. of Lou. last night.
GusMcRae Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 PRP is a good team but after watching them last night Madison Central is better than them. Dunbar gift wrapped last night with crazy turnovers. With as much speed as they have and could only manage 160+ yards offense was not a good sign for them. If PRP is as good as Male and St. X then Louisville is way down. I was at the game and couldnt disagree more. PRP was up 10-0 and in all reality should (I know shouldve couldve wouldve) have been up 21-0 in the 1st quarter. They had one touchdown called back (one ref called a td other over turned it saying receiver was bobbling ball. And got in the inside the 20 two more times and missed field goals. I think PLD was fortunate to still be in the game after the 1st, considering they didnt even make it past their own 30 the 1st quarter. PLD also had basically 0 offense the whole game with the exception of the 1 run by the QB. The other TD came off a PRP fumble inside their own 10. I am not making excuses for PRP but they played very SLOPPY last night and were not in sink all night (could have been because Smith not playing and QB not practicing). The score was 29-14 but could have just as easy been 40+ -7. Just one mans opinion.
SLINK Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Keep in mind that PRP didn't have their leading rusher playing last night. Also, Dunbar was without their starting backfield. Soph. TB Jerrell Greene played a total of 9 snaps and was about 75%. Jr. FB Corey Williams is also out for another 3 weeks.

02Ram54 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 ^or when Lafayette beat J-TOWN.No! Not the Powerhouse of Jeffersontown! Say it aint so!

Slink will back me on the stats because he does them lol Let's be realistic as well here 10 points came off of Dunbar turnovers in the first half. In the second half, a punt block, a kickoff that hit Dunbar's foot and PRP fell on it, a touchdown after a blocked field goal when Dunbar hit their holder,I believe another touchdown after a Dunbar fumble, a Dunbar missed field goal in the first half at the buzzer after the first one was good when luckily PRP jumped offside and made Dunbar re kick it. I'm not saying Dunbar is better or worse or whatever but this is a fact PRP had 0 points after Dunbar punted or kickoffed to them, 29 of them came off of Dunbar turnovers or a blocked punt. PRP got a lot of breaks last night and I can't for the life of me see them getting breaks like that against Male or St. X. I agree that Dunbar's touchdown came off of PRP's turnover but if we go by turnover points not counting then PRP has 7 and that came off of a blocked punt the other 22 were accounted to Dunbar turnovers.
