16thBBall Fan Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Lawrence County and University of Kentucky standout has been named interim head football coach at Purdue replacing Coach Darrell Hazell who was fired today. Good luck! Here is the link to the story: Gerad Parker named interim head football coach at Purdue | Lexington Herald-Leader
Cats3x Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 While I hate to see any coach lose their jobs I'm happy that Gerad is getting the opportunity to run a program. Hope he finishes well and gets the job.

Jaysie Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 I was at the Iowa game. Purdue was out sized, out quicked, out hustled and out coached. There were times, I swear, a good high school team could compete with them. Coach was a nice guy, but didn't have the means to recruit better. Good luck to Parker.
coldweatherfan Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Don't know if it's true, but some guy on Fox Sports Radio said they would like to get Miles.

They are a good school, but they have a crap stadium, in a boring city, in a conference that they can't be competitive in. Its more than just the similar colors. Purdue is the Vanderbilt of the Big 10. Great academic institution, but small football stadium and poor attendance, but they happen to be decent at basketball every once in a while.

MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I expect theyll go after the Western Michigan head coach with gusto, if I can think like the new Purdue AD. Congrats to the young Kentuckian at the helm -- welcome to Memorial Stadium on Saturday!!! #GBR
NKY Bandit Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Maybe he'll be a candidate at EKU once the Elder dumpster fire ends.
