NewCath was on cruise control, till the wheels started to fall off the bus at the 9:00 mark of the 4th. Lloyd recovers not 1, not 2, but 3 onside kicks to make things interesting.

Very strange game. NCC up 28-0 but not all that dominant with 9 minutes to go in 4th and then Lloyd scores and recovers 3 straight on-side kicks and scores 18 straight.

Not a very well played game. Lloyd dropped 2 sure TD passes and NCC drops two Pick 6 opportunities.

Playoffs will be a whole new ballgame for both teams and Holy Cross as well. Kind of got the feeling neither team showed everything in this District game.

It's not every week you have to spend a lot of time with work on your hands team, Coach Wagner will get that fixed. Good work Breds

Lloyd was actually very good at it. If I were them I would do it even when not behind because their kicking and punting game is awful.

1st Quarter

8:42 NewCath - Henschen 12 yd run (Otten kick)

2:23 NewCath - Henschen 21 yd run (Otten kick)

3rd Quarter

7:10 NewCath - Kelly 4 yd run (Otten kick)

4th Quarter

9:59 NewCath - Kelly 4 yd run (Otten kick)

9:36 Lloyd Fann to Tonwsend 67 yd pass (kick no good)

8:05 Lloyd Fann to Voet 26 yd pass (2pt no good)

0:47 Lloyd Fann to Townsend 2 yd pass (2pt no good)

I witnessed the worst xpt attempt ever, then watch the same kid hit 3 PERFECT onside kicks. :idunno:

NewCath's Austin Neff looked like a man on a mission tonight on defense.....caused a fumble, recovered a fumble, and had some seriously NASTY hits on the Lloyd QB and RB's.

I don't think I have ever seen or heard of anyone recovering 3 onside kicks in a row. That is just like getting a turnover.

I hope to NEVER see that again. :lol2:

Really though....the Lloyd kicker (his name escapes me) could not have hit them any better, it was pretty impressive. That being said, the Breds should have done a better job trying to recover them, since they knew they were coming.

This game went exactly like I feared. D on the field to long, O not able to finish drives with points. Lacking the ability to make extra points mathematically puts you behind the perverbail 8 ball. Lloyd has no hurry up cause the QB has to go to the sideline after every play. (Not just a Lloyd thing) Teams have to get with the times and have a wrist band system and or hand signals to call plays. Sorry huge pet peeve of mine, but any way huge losses tonight having Hatton out for the second half and Durham leaving the game for what looked like a knee injury. 2 key players for Lloyd and spots that are not easily filled.

Lloyds play calling was terrible

Situationally it was terrible, but I liked majority of the drives. Rely on your bread and butter Durham up the middle, then quick passes out to Townsend. The pop pass was a good idea just not on 4th down with everything relying on a catch from a kid who wasn't thrown to all night. Not knocking the kid, just when you haven't caught a few passes or have been targeted all night your "cold" as a reciever. So huge unnecessary gamble on a 4&1 at 15ish yard line. The fake punt.....seriously have no clue what that was about. Several dropped passes that should not have been since they hit the receiver in stride and or in both hands. All things considered a handful of bad plays called on the O. Execution on the other hand is another story.
