Expected this from the game. With Brossart's win tonight, Bracken must beat Nicholas.

This is why for the only time ever in any sport was cheering for Brossart to win this game because i want Bracken County to quit settling, man up, and win a big game at home. It's all up to them, no backing in. They laid an egg in Alexandria, can't do it in Brooksville. I think and hope they will be ready.

Can Brossart, Bracken and Nicholas all have one district loss?

Bracken will either be the #1 with home field or the #3 without, I believe

Only thing for sure right now is Paris is the 4 seed and Berea is eliminated. With a Bracken win next week they would be the 1 seed Nicholas would be the 2 and Brossart the 3. A Bracken loss would make Nicholas the 1 Brossart the 2 and Bracken the 3.

If Paris had beat Brossart (as all of us were hoping for :lol2: ) Brossart would have fell to the 4 and Paris would moved to the 3 and 1&2 would have been determined next week.

Next weeks game will still be for the 1 seed but if bracken loses they fall to 3 but if NC loses they only fall to 2. Clear as mud I know!

Are you sure Bracken is the 1 with a win? Wouldn't it depend on the tiebreaker which is win totals of your top 4 opponents that aren't involved in the tiebreak.

Bracken has Harlan and Nicholas would have Bethlehem, both with very solid records. Brossart really doesn't have a big win, so I think they'd be the 3.

Bracken would have the tie breaker if it's both have 3-1 district records NC lone loss would be to BC if BC was to win. At least that is the way it was explained to me tonight. Like I said clear as mud

But Brossart beat Bracken, and they'll be 3-1 as well. Hope the boys win next week so we can continue being confused as hell.

As I stated earlier in this thread, win and you have home field, lose and just like last year they travel to probably Paintsville again or Raceland

LCDAWGS19 is correct. Need a spreadsheet to count up victories of four non-tied teams. Week 10 games might make a difference, but I have not done the math. Bears just need to take care of business next week on the hill. Fall winds could work favorably for ground and pound.

Fall winds?, its supposed to approach 90 this week. No Fall in Kentucky, summer then winter.

I tried to calculate this all out as it stands right now. The 2nd tiebreak is win total of the 4 best records of teams you beat that are not involved in the tiebreak.

Brossart would be the 3 seed with 11 points. now...

After tiebreak 2 Bracken and Nicholas would be tied with 17 points. at that point you keep adding teams until the tie is broken. after 1 additional team, they would still be tied, so you add yet another team, which is where NC gains the advantage and would be the #1 seed.

Keep in mind this is with 2 weeks still to go in the regular season. So much can happen between now and then.
