October 4, 20169 yr I agree it was really cool. However, I've heard Bubba is the biggest horse's rear-end on tour. None of his fellow pros like him apparently, which could play a big role into why he was passed over. I saw Bubba's wife at the Greenbrier. She's gigantic.

I heard Love say in an interview that he asked the players first if they were okay with Watson coming on as a vice-captain. Tells me that he thought there might be some against the idea.
October 4, 20169 yr I enjoyed watching that whole deal for 3 days more than any other golf event I can recall. Same here. The final round at the British Open (Mickelson and Stenson) was epic, but this was waaaaaaayyyy better.

I heard that they did a player poll and asked "which tour player would you be least likely to help if he was in a fight in the parking lot". Bubba came in first and Patrick Reed came in second. Neither is particularly liked by his peers...
