October 4, 20169 yr Author The latest GFS Model run shows the center of Hurricane Matthew staying off the coast of Florida and moving up towards South Carolina and make landfall around Myrtle Beach around 8 am EDT Saturday morning. One note of caution. Even with the eye staying off the coast the effects of this hurricane can still be felt on land. The hurricane force winds extends for tens to hundreds of miles from the eye. Anyone having family or planning to travel to the southeast coast should be making alternative plans. Friday morning 8 am EDT Saturday Morning 8 am EDT

I read somewhere that flights are halted if the wind speed is above 45 MPH. What are the chances that my flight from CVG to Sanford will be cancelled (in your opinion, of course)?

According to the NAM model, I seeing winds in the high teens to low 20s
