14th Region Predictions

Featured Replies

It is the race to E.A. Diddle. As all ways Perry will baiscally own the region and Breathitt right behind then. Owsley only played Knott once and when they did if I recall it wasn't to close of a game. You are right Knott plays smart ball and people get mad at them for doing so. Mosley is one of the best shooters I know. If Amburgey can keep all of his key players heads up they will be just fine. I haven't really heard much on Wolfe..Who do they return???

Unless my eyes and memory are mistaken i believe that Owlsy only played Knott once and it was at Breathitt and i believe it was a 2 point victory for the Lady Patriots, and Owsley had shot under 10 secs. to put them ahead and missed it. Still only a 2 point victory though.

Does anyone know what the Cats' Pause rankings for the 14th is for players and teams?

Thanks! Who is the tenth player? There is only 9 listed.

Ciara Stidham from Leslie is #4

In my opinion Breathitt is #1. They only lost 1 player, and are bringing back a strong nucleous to last years team. They return 4 starters and another who played a great amount last season. Nicole Luttes, Brittany D. Moore, Tiffany Noble, and Amy Turner are all seniors. In the middle they have a force in Lenae Shouse who plays great on both ends of the court. This team has worked hard and has become a team that will change alot of people's minds. When this team is down in Bowling Green I for one will be right there with them. They have worked extremely hard and still have a bad taste in their mouths. Thats enough to drive a team throughout the season. GO LADYCATS!!!

I think Perry Central is the clear favorite to win the region this year.

Perry Central is always the clear favorite to win the region...They was last year, and the year before that, and the year before that as well...I could just keep on going and going. IMO the only reason they are consistantly on top is because they never rebuild like the rest of the teams in the region.

When you have 10 feeder schools and 1100 kids in your high school you don't have to rebuild. You simply reload.

Very true, Professor.

The one player Breathitt lost averaged about 30 and 15. That is a big loss. Breathitt still has a good team with Moore, Lutes, and Shouse but the loss of Collette Cole will plague them.

I have seen Perry Central, Breathitt, and Letcher all play in the pre season. In my opinion there is not a team in the 14th that can stop Sturdivant, and Madden for PCC. They are the one of the quickest teams that I have ever seen. To beat Perry you better have your best game and Perry better have their worst.

after the first 3 days of the season

PCC is #1 and everyone else is playing for 2nd.

There are some good teams out there, but no one can compete with the commodores this year. Madden will lead the state in scoring and they will be in bowling green!

I agree she was a huge part of the team last year, but the one thing that team lacked that this team has is depth. Breathitt has a7th grader in Kendal Noble that playes alot, and actually put up some pretty good numbers against Letcher Central tonight in the "Queen Of The Mountain" tourney. They have a sophmore in Brittany Haddix who starts alot, and plays well also. When they get Amanda Southwood back they will havee speed to run the fastbreak. Now I know Colette was a huge part and will be missed(me and her are pretty good friends) but the thing is this team has depth, and even though they don't have the "superstar performer" but have a team with alot of roll players. I don't care what anyone says Nicole Luttes can take over a basketball game and as of right now she is running the ship really well. I might sound like a homer but these Ladycats are really good.
