^^^TC is almost a Top 10 team according to the AP Poll (#13), and MC IS a Top 10 team. This is a special CKY rivalry, that someone from outside this area wouldn't understand. The alltime series is tied 10-10, and there has been a little bad blood between the two programs, since MC left in all their starters late in the 4th quarter in a 42-14 win, during the Jones/Parks/Raines years.

 

If I had to choose a game on the list, i would pick, BG vs. WC

Seriously, I think that Manual is a good, young team that will take a few lumps from their philosophy to schedule tough... Their record will likely not reflect it at the end of the year, but even in a down year they might be one of the better teams in 4A. Not near the top or the level that they were last year, but still better than most. Everyone was talking Eastern up until they beat them last Friday.

I personally, haven't seen Manual, i just thought that when he said Top 10, he was going off the AP poll that was just released. Manual could very well be a Top 10 team, It wasn't my intention to say they weren't, I was more confused more than anything, as to what criteria was being used.

Why would I use the AP poll as a reference when BGP produces the most accurate rankings of high school teams in KY? I'll answer my own question, I wouldn't. :thumb:

Since you brought up the BGP ratings, I'd still like to see where Manual was in the top 10? Because I just looked at the ratings and Manual is notoriously absent?

Act like what? You mentioned the AP poll and I just said that I hold as much credence in it as I do the Yappi opinions of KY football -- not at all. However, I do think the BGP poll is a good gauge of where teams stack up currently.

 

You're right about your latter point, I, in my haste to bring up the top intrastate games this weekend, inadvertently included Manual. It was human error on my part. Notorious? Hmm?

Since I can't take the Highlands-Elder game or the Dixie-CCH game (due to my natural allegiance to Dixie), I would like to see the Ryle-NCC game. Both teams have a lot of expectations, and this should be an evenly matched up game.

The thread was for which intrastate game would you attend, other than your favorite team, and why. It wasn't specifically stating which top ten teams would you see. Though Ryle is not currently ranked within the top ten in 4A, if they can beat NCC (which I think they will), they stand a good chance of running the table with the rest of their schedule and finishing 9-1. NCC is obviously a top ten team in their respective class.
