November 4, 20169 yr It's not his thing. My guess is his podcast network is doing well. I'm sure it is. I subscribe to a few of them. I just can't do the TV show. Like you said, it's not his thing. Not in that type of format at least.
November 4, 20169 yr I wish he'd write more frequently instead of stuff like this. I agree, but there aren't enough readers. I'm only a little surprised the show got cancelled. One can only watch a guest actually drink their water so many times. The Seth Rogan segment, while pretty informative, was brutal from a visual standpoint. Added to the events in the same timeslot, (Pres. debate, WS game 7, etc...) he never had a chance. I do think a tv show could work for him, but as I said from episode one, 30 minutes isn't enough. His talking points and questions are fine, but sidebars are his bread and butter. A one hour show with one, or maybe two, high-profile guests would be beneficial to both he and his viewers. Then again, that's basically his podcast, so... :idunno:
November 7, 20169 yr Terrible show. Just always had the "he's trying too hard" feeling. I agree, trying to shove 20 pounds into a 5 pound bag. Always seemed rushed and interviews were awkwardly short.
