Their schedule is super soft thusfar and to be honest they haven't exactly mowed through it like gangbusters

 

With Walton-Verona and Fairview up next for them (both teams seem to be significantly weaker than last year) there is a strong chance that LCA will be 7-0 and still an unknown variable going into their matchup with Somerset.

 

Going off my gut instincts I am going to say Danville "looks" 3+ TD's better than LCA right now.

Looking forward to seeing how Corbin matches up with Mayfield, next week. Hopefully both teams come through this week healthy.

 

That game could go a long way towards letting Danville and the rest of 2A contenders know if they have a chance.

I dont expect Mayfield to have Trajan Bright against Corbin.. so that is something that requires careful monitoring.

I agree somewhat but I thought Danville was 2-3 TDs better than Corbin. Turns out I had it opposite.

Danville is no way 3tds better than LCA. Danville will have trouble stopping our pass and Run. Danville got exposed by Corbin, they got man handled up front. Corbin had a bad taste in their mouth from last year, and you think LCA won't? I think it will come down to LCA and Somerset for the District Championship. Danville just don't have the good run defense as last year. Wheatley from LCA and Doan from Somerset will both give Danville fits.

I'm not buying it, until LCA or Somerset beat Danville...they are still the district favorite. Corbin is better than LCA or Somerset this year, can't expect them to replicate what the Redhounds did. Could they either one beat Danville? Sure, but neither should be the favorite going into those games.

Corbin had a bad taste because they couldn't get a snap to their QB's hands last year and felt like the 20-0 loss was misleading. LCA just got flat whipped both times they played Danville.

 

LCA may be much improved but I wouldn't compare the 2015 Corbin and LCA losses to Danville because they both came about by different circumstances.
