Campbell's middle school teams looked great when I saw them. The future is bright in Alexandria.

Dislocation of the elbow as of now. Hoping to avoid surgery from some possible fractures. That's the update they gave out about an hour ago. Prayers and a speedy recovery!!!

:meh:

I meant to note the good sportsmanship of the Camels last night.

Many (if not all) of the Camels went up to the back of the ambulance with the Birds as they rolled the stretcher up and loaded him in the back. I was on the other side of the field but I think it is a safe assumption they were wishing him well.

Good game all around by the Birds. Hollingsworth and Ahfeld both looked good running the offense. Ahfeld is a real threat when running the ball, Hollingsworth beginning to look comfortable behind his line. #26 got some work as running back and was impressive. He pulled/carried a CC defender for 10 yards on one run. The only issue was a lack of any kicking game. How can there be not one freshman player capable of even attempting an extra point? Had to go for 2 every time, even when the game was well in hand.

Soccer team's success causing fewer kickers to come out for the team?

Agree with Ahfeld running the ball. The two plays he had at QB he ran the ball hard. I said this last week and will say it again he needs to be involved in the offense somewhere. Now with Mason being hurt I would watch for Ahfeld to be in the back field a little more this week at running back.

When was the last time that Highlands football team had a soccer player that served as the kicker?

Sounds like it might be too long.

Bathiany, 2007. He was a stud soccer player but his first love was football.

Isn't he coaching college football somewhere.

But he gave up soccer to concentrate on football correct?

Are you looking for someone who played soccer the same time they played football?

I am not, but 75center asked the question about getting a kid from the soccer team to kick for the frosh.

Maybe it's not a kicker. Kickoff is not the same, but he had plenty of distance to make the PAT.

Maybe they can't get the snap down or a capable holder?

Maybe a combination?

Have asked the same ? About soccer player

No I was wondering if the team's success has kept younger players in soccer rather than switching to football when they got to middle and high school.
