I think it was Portsmouth east. How is the health of the Rams? Any injuries to report.

Thanks for the correction on East. The report I received was that everyone is fine.

As far as I know the rams are a very healthy football team right now. It will be nice to have Beach back from a one game suspension and Tolliver will also be back on the field after sitting out last week with a sprained ankle. Both Beach and Tolliver are big playmakers for the rams on special teams.

How bad is Tolliver's ankle??? He is going to be a good one in years to come.

Congrats to the Rams on their # 8 ranking in the Associated press Ky. high school football polls. The Rams moved up two spots this week from the # 10 spot. Keep working!!!:thumb:

This a little off topic but does anyone know why Portsmouth West was a no show on the JV game tonight with Raceland? The story I received was that the Ram JV traveled to Portsmouth West only to be met by an empty stadium. Maybe it was a communication breakdown between the two schools. With the price of gas, should a phone call be necessary sometime during the day to confirm that the game is on? Tough to take for the kids, they just want to play some football.

Portsmouth West hired a new athletic director. The old athletic director did not pass on the schedule of games. I do not know if this was just for JV or Varsity also. I think everyone involved hated it due to it knocked our JV out of practice and like you said gas for everyone that went.

Thanks olram,I never found out the reason behind the no show. It sounds like an honest mistake. I think a simple phone call between the coaches or an e-mail exchange on game day would solve these problems.

Maybe we can play well enough on Friday and they can get some work.

I agree, my congrats also, Up from #10 to #8. Lets keep playing hard moving up in the ratings.

Freshman came was cancelled yesterday aganist Lewis County. They didnt have enough freshman players. The entire team will practice together today. Hope it is a good one. They were really working hard on special teams yesterday. They know they are up aganist a really good qb. I assume construction at East is still going on so folks get there early to park.

Any news on how the Rams practiced this week??? Any news out of Grayson on the how things went for the Raiders????

Practice is going well for the Raiders. Even though East has won the last 3 meetings in the series, there seems to be a ton of respect here in Grayson for the Rams. Raceland may be the best offensive team East sees all year.

:thumb: That respect is likewise for East here in RamLand 16th.

Raceland is a very good offensive team. Grizzle has several weapons to choose from, Mullins, Beach, Deskins, Boyles, Denton, and Mckenzie just to name a few. But what people might overlook is just how tough the Raceland defense is this year. The Raceland defense, led by linebacker J.T. Forrest, is based on speed and pursuit. The rams really get to the football. I think that could give East Carter's young offensive line fits this friday. Be ready for some sloppy field conditions, looks like the rain is coming... Go RAMS:ylsuper:

Practice is going extremely well however they are taking nothing forgranted. Offensive team proved they can step up when a player is out. Defense have played together for years. Forrest, Rogers, Thompson, Caldwell, Logan, Stephens, etc. are all in sync this year. Ram fans hopes are high.
