I created the poll just because I’m so hyped that it’s football season!!

 

Game is Thursday night, Sept. 1 at Papa John's.

Louisville will cover. Jackson won't play in the 2nd Half.

I think it is a safe bet they won't start 0-3 this year. Not starting against Auburn probably helps though.

Only one question as to whether Cardinals cover the 39.5 point spread: I think Petrino's going to see how the offseason pass drilling went. I expect Jackson to stay behind the line somewhat, at least early on, as Petrino tries to get him comfortable looking to pass. If it doesn't come quickly, could be a couple early stalls.

 

Unlike last year, there's some depth and some returning talent on the offensive line so hopefully they can gel more quickly.

 

After finding out during spring practice that Jackson was basically going out blind and with a limited playbook, hopefully we'll see some more elements of that traditional Petrino offense early this season.

As much as I want to see Jackson and Co. air it out, I hope we use those three RB's we have to establish the run game, and effectively open the flood gates in the passing game.

Bill Connolly's preview on SB Nation talked about this the same way you just did. The RB's need to get going in this offense because even with Jackson's legs, there was no running game without them. A more experienced O-line should help there.
