The one's he wore against W.Jess looked almost Carolina blue, but it was just a joke I don't really care, as long as he does his job.

MC is going to end up a better team this year then last season. They did lose Warford, Letcher, Mathis, and Jr. Skepple (who was a great WR) but the overall TEAM is better. Their Oline is bigger and is very experienced. The QB now has a year under his belt. The defense is playing much better than last year. The new cast of running backs is young, but they replaced speed with speed. To try and compare this years team to last years is very hard, they lost something like 25 seniors.

I agree:thumb:

This is the most athletic team they have ever had. Warford and Letcher may have been a little tougher, but they have a kid named Chavez Dean, who looks like he was made in a football factory. Also Hope is a year older, a year stronger, he has made great strides. The kicker is also really good, however he wears some very outlandish cleats. Also Kavanaugh and Simpson are real quick. If that is not enough, they have Ricky Rhodes who is the fastest guy on the team. Their line on both sides of the ball is much better this year too.,

Well, you'll have to forgive me if I'm skeptical. If what you say is true, then I can't wait to see them when I get my chance in a few weeks.

But for right now, I have to figure they'd at least be behind St. X, Male, Trinity, Bowling Green, Henry Clay and Scott Co., and maybe a handful of others. If they are indeed better than last season, I can assure you I will say so.

I promise I am not trying to blow smoke up your butt. I am a totally neutral observer when it comes to Madison Central. Scott Co. let up 28 points, to a team that didn't wina game last year. I think the loss of Haddix will hurt them in the long run. Henry Clay lost a lot more than MC did, in my opinion, no Salin Simpson, Rod Johnson, Chris Hawkins, the rest of the O-LINE, no Sam Gardner, a couple real tough linebackers. Henry Clay is still a real good team, and in the end they may turn out to be better, I just think that at this time, MC is just a bit better.

If I had to go with a Top 5 right now for me it would be:

1. Male

2. St. Xavier

3. Trinity (haven't played yet, but well they're still Trinity)

4. BG

5. MC/Highlands tie

I think most people would switch Trinity and X, considering both last years championship game, and the reloading of St. X.

Central will get their shot against Highlands, and believe me when I tell you in Fort Thomas it's a whole lot different than in Central Kentucky. The fans for one are so close they can read the away coaches play script. If Central can remain undeafeated going into the Highlands game it will roll in Fort Thomas and unfortunately I know what that is like.

Madison Central is very good and whole lot better than Dunbar. Don't know what else to say.

How does MC compare to MBA?

How does MC compare to MBA?

That's an excellent question, 'Ru! Since Golfer's team has played both of them this past two weeks, I'd really love to hear this answer.

How does MC compare to MBA?

MBA maybe a little better quarterback and better line play but skill kids go to Central. MBA's main problem is they have no big playmakers where Central is just full of them.

They are both good teams but honestly these two teams are about night and day from one another in their styles of play.

I don't want to threadjack this game thread so one final question, if MBA and MC played next week who would win and why?

Madison Central is a great team but I have a feeling MBA would find a way to win, so I would give them the edge but not by much. I have a feeling MBA wouldn't give Central any big plays and they would have to grind the ball down the field and that's not Centrals strength especially against a good MBA d line.

Thanks Golfer.

Everyone that knows a lot about Madison Central, how does this years team compare with last year? Is MC a top 10 team?

Thanks Golfer.

I think that the skill players, from this year's team are a little quicker, but not as strong. Last year you could really see that guys like Warford, Mathis and Letcher had been in the weightroom, this year the guys are young and still getting the hang of things. That is why in my opinion this team is better, these are players with little to know varsity expereince at this point, yet they are still clicking on all cylinders. Also the line is so much better at Central this year(and bigger). To me however the real difference is Hope the QB, he looks so much more comfortable handling things this year and his arm has looked very strong. Also MC has depth for days, it seems like they rotate in bunches of players, without skipping a beat. That is one thing that has always killed CKY teams when playing Trinity/St. Xavier, I've seen that happen first hand twice (however we did win one time).
