I do as well. Eastern took a beating from CAL last year and I don't think Eastern has quite closed the gap enough yet.

Not sure on this one. Hard to tell what CAL really has from the SK game. Eastern has gotten better and should at least make a game of it. Eastern's skill players showed very well in 7v7 against good competition but not sure what they have in the trenches. Keeping my eye on this one for both teams.

I got a little bit starry-eyed about CAL's chances against Simon Kenton, but I think they handle Eastern fairly easily. CAL 35-10.

I believe that Eastern has improved. Not sure if they have closed the gap or not, but that is why they play the games. Good luck to both.

I think Eastern may have just enough seasoned athletes to make this interesting. Burger is a solid QB and the Wyche (spelling) kid is pretty special. Lot of blue collar kids trying to change the culture at Eastern. Few solid additions to the coaching staff as well.

 

We all know CAL is much better than the scoreboard indicated last week. I expect them to rebound - just not convinced it will be by a big margin.

Eastern better hope they can block Paulson.

Is Lagastee (DL) playing for CAL? Last I heard he was out. That makes a difference in the middle of that D-line.
