Quick update. Fleming 28 Nicholas 7 half. Flem 33 plays 9-17 passing 2Td 2INT. Total yards 255. Nicholas 24 plays 1-5 passing total yards 61.

Is Fleming that good? How's Nicholas running the ball.

35-7 final. Nicholas huge line could do nothing against the much smaller Fleming D line. Just my thoughts on this scrimmage. The Blue Jackets need major improvements in the sec and on the O-Line . If 22 gets enough carries for the Panthers to keep the def honest, they could be dangerous. There small D-Line was a huge difference in this one.

So speed wore down Nicholas... Well nice breakdown. Nicholas has got to get it together before next week.

Fleming is suppose to be a good team so no reason to count them out yet. But if there going to compete with the better teams in class A they will need to improve.

West Carter 0 Green up 0 half. West Carter 25 plays 55 yards passing 5-9 1 pick. Green Up 32 plays 117 yards passing 6-12 1 pick. It looks like both teams are a step away from doing something on offense but cant get it going. Defenses do not look great but both look sound.

Good game there. Who has the edge in your opinion.?

Final 0-0. 2nd half WC 15 plays 14 yards 2-6 passing. Green Up 2nd half 17 plays 24 yards 4-10 passing. Imo If G Up can stop the stupid penalties and get their bigger lineman to play hard they will score a lot. WC looked like they were giving everything they had but it was not there tonight. I think they will have to have a monster defense at least until the offense works as a whole. 52 seemed to give 100% every play for them.

G Up but not by much.

Teams seem to be starting slow. But that's why they got all season to fix problems.

My take always from tonight:

 

Fleming Co vs Nicholas Co

-Fleming could have beaten Nicholas by 50. Nicholas only points came from Fleming mistake of being greedy before halftime and trying to score again with less than a minute left and being on their own 25 yard line.

-Nicholas 2 best backs did not play due to injury but I really don't think it would have made that much difference. There was no where to run. Fleming shut them down.

-Fleming is solid but a good pass defense could give them a lot of trouble.

-Nicholas did not look like everyone was on the same page.

 

West Carter vs Greenup Co

-Greenup will be a good team this season when the kinks get worked out. They turned the ball over on downs twice in the 1st quarter inside the 20. Need to learn to finish.

-West LOOKS athletic at some positions but the offense struggled to get anything going passing or running. Their defense attacks the run but a good passing team may give them trouble.

-Greenup will finish at least 3rd in their district ahead of East Carter, Rowan, and Boyd. I do not see them beating a Johnson Central this year but could slip up on someone else close by......
