nWo Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Look for the high heat index to return for most of Kentucky by Tuesday. The high heat index for now look to be confined to parts of WKY and SEKY Monday afternoon. Heat Index Dew points for Monday Tuesday afternoon most of Kentucky could see heat index return around 100 or maybe a little higher. There is a slight chance for rain for both days so that could spell some quick relieve for some. Some of the stronger showers could put down some heavy rain totals in a short period of time because of the high dew points. Heat Index Dew Points
All In Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Did I see somewhere that July was the most humid July on record since 1938 and August is already off to a record start less than a week end? What is our 90's and above count for this year? Have I mentioned that I hate summer

Have friends in Bowling Green that say they have never seen such a combination of humidity and constant bouts of heavy rain in the 10 years they have lived there after having one of their snowiest winters for them this past winter

Beechwoodfan Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 YIKES! Got lucky! I called my AC guy, intending to leave a message for tomorrow and found out they had a guy on call today. Got my AC fixed and am cooling down as we speak, or type. Don't know what a Sunday bill will be, but I don't care at the moment.
Bluto Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Don't know what a Sunday bill will be, but I don't care at the moment. I should have gone into that kind of business, where customers will pay almost anything to have the job done!
Beechwoodfan Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 I should have gone into that kind of business, where customers will pay almost anything to have the job done! Plumbers and heating and AC guys. When you need them, you usually need them NOW!
nWo Posted August 8, 2016 Author Posted August 8, 2016 I don't mind warm weather but this humidity is brutal I was just looking two weeks out. Some parts of Kentucky, off and on, could be dealing with the high humidity and high heat index at least until the end of August. Especially WKY.
