San Diego Police Officer Murdered

Featured Replies

So you think someone should be put to death for burning the American flag? That's your actual stance that you believe, and not your typical shock and awe shtick?

Burning the American flag on American soil is the first step in active domestic terrorism. Eliminate the threat.

I agree it's disgusting, but treason? I mean, that's punishable by death. Little extreme, don't ya think?

It should be punishable by imprisonment

The USA needs to get back to the fundamentals. Why we allow people to destroy the country from within is "mind boggling".

Agreed.

I absolutely hate it when someone burns the flag.

However, it is protected by the first amendment. The Constitution is fairly far back, as far as what our country was founded upon.

Hey, if they feel it should be disregarded for guns, it can be disregarded to protect the flag.

I'm sorry, but if you hate the US enough to burn the flag, maybe the US isn't the place for you.

Why I continue to engage you boggles my mind...

Is what it is, we difference in a opinion more than oil and water on most things. I dont hold it against you, at least you speak your mind and dont hold back, I respect that.

Agreed. Hate it but it is what the country has fought wars for and what we are about. It's a form of protest.

I don't know, wouldn't it be some sort of destruction of property charge?

I get disgusted and very angry when I see a flag disrespected. However, I happen to agree that it should be protected free speech with no penalties. At least from the government. On a personal level if I had staff that I found out had burned a flag, they're gone.

Certainly, if you are burning someone else's flag. Not if you are burning your own. You can destroy your own property. What's the name of the street in Lex where they burn the couches when UK wins the NCAA championship? :D

:thumb: Which is you exercising your own 1st amendment right.

Well, right you can do what you want with your own property. JMO, but the vast majority of the clowns burning flags during protests aren't burning their own property.
