Having been around these girls for a pretty long time I can tell you that Katie has already fit right in with girls and has been playing AAU with them through the summer and hanging out with them in the evenings.

She played AAU with 2 of the BC players over the summer and they became good friends as did all of the girls from 4 or 5 schools in the region. Their move was work and family related from what I hear. If it was all Bball then why leave where she could be a big fish in a little pond for a place where she will be just part of team?

Yea ok believe what you want my friend but this comes as no surprise to many that katie transfered once again. You are entitled to think what you want about the family but I was certain it wouldn't be long before the family had someone fighting for their cause on here. Apparently that must be you. We have seen it before. Both at Ludlow and HC. Sort makes you wonder where the problem lies wouldn't you say. Nell won't put with anything though so the next 2 years if she stays there should prove to be interesting.

Boy!... Boone seems to get a number of these work/family transfers don't they? I may tend to fall in line with Zig on this one.

Not so sure it is a done deal. Heard there may have been a paperwork snafu and she just may not be on the court for sure. Even heard she may have tried to get back in at HC as late as last friday but was turned downed so she enrolled at Boone Cty. This may turn out to be very interesting. Wouldn't it be an awful shame if someone elses selfishness cost this very talented young laday a year of basketball.

I hope she is eligibile to play and does well. I would hate to see the actions of adults cost a kid a year of playing a sport that they enjoy so much.. As for the info I recieved I will concede that it was from a HC supporter so maybe I should have taken it with a grain of salt. Either way this is the type of stuff that is starting to make high school sports look so dirty.

They moved because her dad got a job in Florence? Didn't they live in Ludlow? Why move for that?

I tend to agree with the BigZig on this also.. Far too often the parents are the root of the problem, and from what I have heard, BigZig is right on (am I really typing this:thumb: ) at least on this matter......

In a lot of these cases I think parents/players have a tendency to bolt for "better" opportunities based on who they have played with in the summer or in the past, ....AND based on what type of team they will be on if they return to their school versus what type of team they will be on if they leave.

 

It happens all over the country. No better example than the Mason Ohio team a few years ago that was one of the better teams in the USA. They came from over the place.

Very true but don't you think this is starting to get way out of hand. Nevermind what kind of education little Bobby or Susie will be getting as long as they are going to a school with a good athletic record and of course my little darling must get to play alot..Otherwise I'll just make up another reason to transfer again. It may happen all over the country but that doesn't make it right. Something has got to change IMO..
