Belfry-NewCath is a lock just because I'm 15 minutes from NewCath and St.X-Trinity will be a lock as well. All of the others are open and end of season games will likely be determined on records at that point.

Probably make a trip to WKY at some point and possibly to that Belfry-KnoxCath game.

I'm excited to watch Trinity @ Lafayette. Trinity is always a power and Lafayette has some of the top guys in the state.

You think Caldwell will blow out Mayfield or vice versa?

 

Either way I am a little surprised considering both teams return a strong group and it was an 1 point game last year

I think Mayfield will blow Caldwell out at home. I believe that was the outcome 2 years ago. Caldwell will have to really step up to be in this game.

While it may or may not be the best football ever watched considering the teams are both coming off of difficult losing seasons, the Nelson Co.-Marion Co. matchup should be very interesting as the Marion Co. coaching staff has taken on a definite Nelson Co. flavor this year.

So that Belfry vs. Knoxville Catholic game is even more star studded now... they have an underclassman lineman named Bryn Tucker who just got offered by Tennessee and LSU.

Another strong AAA team from the Mountaineer state led by Derrek Pitts Jr. Pitts is one of the most sought after SS in the country with offers from a slew Power 5 schools, including: Oklahoma, Penn State, Florida, Auburn, Clemson, Nebraska, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

 

Derrek Pitts gave his verbal yesterday to Penn State but also picked up some additional offers prior to donning the Nittany Lion hat. A lot can happen between now and the first Tuesday in February but I am eager to see this young man in person.

 

In 24 hours before his announcement, Pitts said he received seven more offers from schools, including Florida State, Alabama, Texas and USC. Well there is only one KY team I believe who has never lost to Highlands whenever they have played. So I would say week 1 Cooper vs Highlands would be a pretty good game to start the season.

Didn't get a chance to get out this week to watch football but next week, I'm either going to watch St.X-LexCath or Scott County-Pulaski County.
