I'm liking the 2014 Spurs. After years of boring play they were actually a blast to watch that season.

Shaq and Kobe. No question

2001 Lakers.

 

15-1 in the playoffs and the one loss was in OT. That team turned it on when they wanted. Probably could have won 70 games in the regular season if Shaq wasn't a lazy bum and worked out.

2001 Lakers. No one could guard Shaq. The only teams that could potentially take the down are the 2014 Spurs, 2012-13 Heat or the 2015 Warriors. Those teams might have shot well enough to have had a chance.

 

But Shaq is the ultimate trump card. That three year run, Shaq was as unstoppable as any player in league history. If he'd played 6 seasons at that level he'd have been in the convo at the top of the list.

 

As dominate as Shaq was, they were still one play away from not even making the finals in two of his championships with the Lakers. Both Portland and Sacramento gave the Lakers all they could handle and took Mr. big shot Robert Horry to get them passed those teams at end of games. Which makes me think those Lakers teams definitely would have their hands full against these other Champs since they barely was even able to survive to make the finals in 2 of those years.
