July 10, 201610 yr Has anyone noticed some Willett products being a little "off" lately? I recently purchased a bottle of Johnny Drum Private Stock and a bottle of Willett Pot Still. Neither taste like they usually do. Anyone else notice a difference?
July 11, 201610 yr Sometimes bourbons vary from year to year. Especially among small batch and single barrel lines. For example, Evan Williams single barrel from 2013-15 was fantastic. This year's is a little off. Part of could be because of the ramp-up in production but I think it will correct itself.

I agree they can vary year to year. I think you hit the nail on the head with ramping up production.

But besides the 4-year bourbon and 3-year rye all of their stuff still comes from elsewhere.

July 11, 201610 yr The Pot Still is always nasty. Tourist buy it like crazy because of the bottle. We can't keep it in stock where I work.

I had never had Lexington Bourbon prior to Christmas three years ago. I normally receive bourbon as gifts from the family and that year both my sister and brother bought me bottles of Lexington. I concur that it is terrible and way overpriced. Reminded me of 4yr Beam, way too young.
