I think most are in agreement that they'll be the favorite in their district, so how do they stack up with the other half of the region (Raceland, Paintsville and Fairview)? Could this team make a deep run in the playoffs?

 

Key here will be to win the district. That assures you a game against the 5th place team (or maybe a bye, I can't recall) and then a home game in the second round against the #2 team in the opposite district. I suspect Raceland and Paintsville will be even or slightly better than Nicholas so getting that second game at home will be huge. A regional final between #1 seeds would be played at the opposite district.

Some have stated that they have one of the best line they have seen. Any team on their schedule should prepare for them as if they were the best team they will play all year.

What kind of speed will they have this year? I only saw them play once last year, against Fleming in the grid, and it seems like Fleming scored all their TD's on big plays.

I agree coaches need too.. They put up over 2000 yards on the ground so there line has to be okay... But we need to check and see what kind of yardage was put up against there better teams last season...

Best team they played last year was West Carter and they lost 49-12. They played tough against Paris and Fairview in the last part of the year. This team could make some noise if they have as much coming back as is being posted here. I can see them being pre-season somewhere in the bottom half of the top 10. Schedule is just ok so they will get plenty of wins. Could end the year in the top 5.

I see them around the 7 range.... Followed by Bethlehem,KCD and Harlan.
