Etown in 2003 and 2004 had three players who would go on to start in the SEC (Alabama, Auburn, and Kentucky) and had a 4th D-1 prospect in the WR who Marshall wanted as well.

I remember many people thinking Central had no chance in that game too because of a common opponent. Some of us knew better and understood how that loss happened but most people dismissed it.

Thought you were looking for the best basketball players that also starred as football players. First thought was Derek Smith at HHS. Tim Couch at LCHS.

In 2011 Central almost returned the favor of over confidence to Belfry. After crushing a very young Belfry team in 2010 most expected Central to destroy Belfry again. @Jason Frakes predicted a 42-0 win for Central or something along those lines leading up to it... Belfry had Central on the ropes but couldn't finish them off
