June 14, 201610 yr Listening to a preview of today's action in which they fantastically referred to the Austria/Hungary game going on right now as the Habsburg Derby. Watched the 1st half of the game at lunch, Austria hit a post within the first minute, the next 44 minutes were really bland. On a side-note, ESPN was hyping up the Portugal vs Iceland match coming on at 3:00 as it would be riveting TV....I literally couldn't contain my laugh.

In their defense, Pepe will be the best actor on TV in the 3:00-5:00 time slot.
June 14, 201610 yr In their defense, Pepe will be the best actor on TV in the 3:00-5:00 time slot. And Ronaldo could win best supporting actor for all of his crying/complaining. He's the Lebron of futbol.

Here we are with 10 to play and the game square at a goal a piece. Let's never forget Portugal's ability to massively disappoint everyone at a major tournament except their opponents.

Let's never forget Portugal's ability to massively disappoint everyone at a major tournament except their opponents. I'm not sure about you getslow, but I honestly think that the messi v. Ronaldo debate is dead. Ronaldo can't even tie with some grace.

June 16, 201610 yr Wales leads England 1-0 at the half. This is typical England. Choke on the biggest stage. This Wales team could conceivably just be better. The best player in all of Britain is Welsh.

June 16, 201610 yr Just turned it on in time to watch Sturridge do Sturridge things and mishandle a beautiful pass. Completely blew a great chance to put one on goal. Apparently Vardy tied this one up a bit ago.
June 16, 201610 yr Sturridge with the go-ahead in stoppage time. Then Bale misses the equalizer by about a foot.
