Not at all. Here is the very definition of recruiting:

 

to find suitable people and get them to join a company, an organization, the armed forces, etc.

to form or build (a group, team, army, etc.) by getting people to join to persuade (someone) to join you in some activity or to help you

As you can see the action of recruiting comes from the organization.

 

I think what you are looking for is the definition of "visiting" .....

 

to go somewhere to spend time with (someone, such as a friend or relative)

to go somewhere to see and talk to (someone) in an official way or as part of your job

An athletic coach or any other member of the school staff or team member (including parents and boosters) shall not influence a student even if the student, his or her parents or any intermediary from another school makes the initial contact. In this situation, a coach or staff member (paid or unpaid) should immediately refer the person(s) to the school principal

Thank you. That is the exact reason that transferring is still open. He's been making better decisions, and thats why as of yet he hasn't moved. Sports or no sports, if he doesn't do what is expected of him off the court, he will relocate!!!

I love watching Isiah play and really hopes he's stays at Mason. He has to make good decisions for himself because there are bad crowds ewverywhere and at every school. Do good Isiah and stay at Mason where you can do great things.

It's the other side of the same coin. It's transferring for athletic reasons. Personally, I think a student and his family should be able to choose any school that will accept said student but that's not the way the rules read.

I know zero facts. I'm merely pointing out that it wouldn't be a "recruiting " violation for a student to visit schools. I should have made it clear that it "could be" the opposite side of the same coin......transferring for athletic purposes.
