I guess my question is, when you've got a 6 run lead, why does it matter who's in the game? Why are we concerned with who's pitching in that situation?

FWIW, Cingrani had only thrown 1 inning in the previous 7 days, so most likely they were simply trying to get him some work in a zero pressure situation.
